Barley & Smoke 2023 is scheduled for August 26th from 3pm-8pm at Enmax Park. This community event is dedicated to supporting Kids Cancer Care & Camp Kindle. Daytona Homes Calgary is honored to be a sponsor in addition to building a custom-themed fort; donated to Camp Kindle. Barley & Smoke is a fun-filled event featuring a competition between some of Calgary’s favorite food establishments and craft breweries. These 100% local businesses compete to be the BEST in the following categories:
· Beer
· Ribs
· Hand-Held
· Skewer
· Food & Beer Pairing
Taste & sip samples and cast your votes all while enjoying live bands, outdoor games, raffles, photo booth fun and finally, the Towne Forts Exhibit!
This event is hosted in support of Kids Cancer Care & Camp Kindle. Funds raised will go towards Kids Cancer Care and their relentless efforts to have a positive impact for those affected by cancer. Their uniquely designed programs meet the needs of the whole family at each stage of the cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. Their foundation helps Alberta children and families by providing funding and programs in the form of Camps, Outreach, Research, Hospital, Education, Support and Scholarship Programs.
The Towne Forts Exhibits features custom-made forts that have been built locally, to be donated to Camp Kindle. This fun-filled camp offers programs to children who have or have had a parent with cancer.
Their staff and volunteers are fully qualified and trained to meet the unique needs of young people affected by cancer. They have the skills and the heart to make camp a memorable and fun experience. All camps are located short distances from the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary and the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. Also, Camp Kindle has a fully equipped clinic with all the amenities of a big city clinic.
Our Team at Daytona Homes Calgary is a committed sponsor for The Kids Caner Care Foundation and Barley & Smoke. In addition, we have come together to design and build a unique fort that will be donated to Camp Kindle to support them in their effort to provide a place of refuge for those affected by cancer. The Barley & Smoke event will host our custom fort reveal!!!
