Celebrating Bonds and Building Futures: The After Party for Dad & Daughter Gala
Last Wednesday, May 29th, fathers and daughters gathered for an evening of elegance and inspiration at the After Party for the Dad & Daughter Gala. Held at The Commons, this cocktail-style networking event brought together young women aged 17 and older with their fathers for a night to remember.
The After Party wasn’t just a typical evening out; it was a celebration of the special bond between fathers and daughters, crafted to inspire and empower. Designed to help young women transition smoothly into adulthood, the event provided a unique platform for them to explore post-secondary education and career opportunities in a supportive and nurturing environment.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of the evening was seeing dads lead by example, engaging in networking activities and demonstrating the importance of community building.
The event was dedicated to raising funds for the Kids Cancer Care, an organization tirelessly working to support kids and their families. Kids Cancer Care is committed to making a difference in the lives of children affected by cancer and their families.
The charity’s mission is to fight against the devastating impact of childhood cancer by supporting families at every stage of the cancer journey. This includes funding groundbreaking research aimed at finding a cure, offering educational support and scholarships to childhood cancer survivors, and providing enriching camp experiences that allow kids to just be kids, away from the hospital environment.
Among the attendees were Craig Bieber, the Vice President and GM of Daytona Homes Calgary, and his daughter. It was a powerful reminder of the community's strength and compassion, emphasizing that together, we can fight against the devastating impact of cancer.
Here’s to more nights of connection, inspiration, and giving back. Here’s to the After Party, where dreams are nurtured, and futures are built, all while supporting the incredible mission of Kids Cancer Care. Learn more about Kids Cancer Care here.
