Project Forest Partnership

  • We're committed to helping replenish the resources used to build our homes

LED Lighting

  • LED lighting is used in all of our homes. They save homeowners approx. $448 annually on utility bills.

  • Lighting accounts for nearly 5% of global CO2 emissions, however, LED lighting is 50-70% more efficient than old technologies, allowing us to reduce the carbon footprint of our homes.

Carpet

  • The carpet we use in our homes is made from recycled plastic bottles. Each year, our Tacada builders save 2.2 million plastic bottles from entering landfills. If you stacked these bottles on top of one another, it would span 462km – that's 6,600 hockey rinks!

Low-Flow Fixtures

Since 2020, our Tacada builders have saved 68 million litres of water by using low-flow toilets in our homes–the equivalent of 27 Olympic-sized swimming pools!

Community is built on connections

  • Every year, our team devotes volunteer hours to give back to the communities we build in.

  • Over $1 million has been raised for The Edmonton Down Syndrome Society, over the last 25 years.

Treaty Seven Territory

Daytona Homes Calgary is located on the traditional territories of First Nations Peoples of Treaty 7. The Treaty 7 Lands in Southern Alberta are home to the Kainai Nation, Piikani Nation, Siksika Nation, Tsuu T’ina Nation, and the Bearspaw, Chiniki and Wesley (Stoney- Nakoda) Nations. Calgary is also home to Region 3 of the Métis Nation of Alberta.
